is known as peat. It becomes quite abundant over time, and is where a peatland gets its name. Even if you've never heard of a peatland, you've probably heard of a bog. A bog is apeatland that only
recieves water from rain. This is why water in a bog quite acidic, and this usually causes and abundance of Sphangum Moss. Peatlands are more common in northern areas. The Red Lake Peatlands, and the Hudson Bay Lowlands
