Welcome to MyTake                                                        The Take Is Live
Does Bourne Reign Supreme in Supremacy?

Let's get one thing straight. I love Bourne. Of course I mean that in a completely hetero --one super secret angent to another-- kind of way, but that doesn't make the love any less real. From the books to the first movie, there is barely an aspect of the Bourne series that isn't totally awesome. This new movie however, finds away to add something to that incredibly small list.

First, let's note the highpoints of the film. Supremely written script... Top notch acting... Incredible cast... What could possibly be missing?

The original director that's what. You may have heard others praise this so called "director" as "original" or "innovative". Quite frankly, as high as my esteem may be for these people's opinions, they are full of it. Paul Greengrass is a hack. His style is excessive, juvenile, annoying, and nauseating just to note the first few adjectives that spontaneously come to mind. The story overcomes this to a point, but the horrible camera work kept sucking me right out of the film in incredibly important moment after can't possibly miss this moment. What would probably have been the single greatest car chase in the history of films had me this close to vomiting on the lovely couple sucking face not three feet from me. Admitedly, I have a small motion sickness problem, but it's hard to imagine anyone not being annoyed by this far from stellar attempt at originality.

In the end, the story, setting, and acting preserve everything great about "Identity" and even add to it, but the misguided desire to make a distinction between himself and other directors takes this train off its tracks. However, sometimes a runaway train can still be quite exciting as long as you don't throw up. Let's break down the score in a, yes... I'm really gonna say it again, MyTake Unordered List...

  • Directing: 1/5 (but you probably gathered that from the review)

  • Script: 5/5 (again the writers take Ludlums's classic and make the characters come to life)

  • Acting: 5/5 ('nuff said)

  • Overall: What could have been the best film of the year is marred by Greengrass' foolish attempt at individuality. The Bourne Supremacy recieves a 3.75... out of 5.

A new section has been added to the spectrum of MyTake In But Seriously For A Moment we will take a look at the more serious issues faced by us in this day and age. The first topic of discussion is wetlands and the destruction/restoration there of. Check it out.

Changes For MyTake

Greetings MyTakers! I know it's been a while since the site was updated but, I've been very busy lately. I recently took the S.A.T.'S (yikes), and will soon be attending college. However, for a short period of time, I find myself with not very much on my proverbial plate. Thats right. Unless I manifest a social life from a magician's hat, I'm afraid the medial tasks before me shall fail to consume much of my free time. So, when I'm bored you all win as the site should be updated all the more frequently. Expect the MyTake on Video Games to finally recieve some reviews. Maybe I'll finally post something in news, and just maybe and opinion or two. I'll also be posting more pics with columns once I find a good source beyond my own digital camera. Not to mention all the things covered in this shiny new MyTake unordered list!
  • Sections for Movies, Television, and Comedy.

  • Musical bliss from the mind of yours truly in the form of clips of songs I wrote myself performed by me.

  • Thrilling commentary on the boredom of everyday life by none other than me (imagine that).

Can you feel the anticipation. No. Well, ME Neither! Although, that doesn't mean it isn't there.

Special: WWE Charity Event at FYE

Ron Simmons!
The WWE is holding charity events across the nation, and (you guessed it) MyTake was there.
"Buy a poster at FYE for $20" --this guy tells me--, "and meet the superstars of the WWE." "Really", I said. "Would I lie to you", he said. "I Don't know," I said. "Here, just take this," he said. "Okay". "Hhhhmmm!," I think to myself. "You know, I could do mean feature for MyTake about this," and here we are (at the feature I mean).
Enter... The day of the event. This is to cool to be contained in an unordered list. I showed up at the mall about twenty minutes early, and hardly anyone else was there. The date of this event had changed since I first bought the poster, and many people returned them, because they couldn't make it. Because of this, there were only about fifty people there, and a really short line. I was also alowed to take pictures, because of the low turn out. After waiting only about ten minutes, I was next. Big Show was first, and he is big! When I shook his hand, it looke like mine dissappeared. Kurt Angle was next. He's a big guy, but small compared to Big Show; however, Kurts the champ so no one messes with him. Except Show put him in a headlock, and gave him a noogie. Ha ha, take that Kurt. After that, Bradshaw signed the poster. Then it was Ron Simmons a.k.a. Faarooq. Talk about cool. This guy made a point to shake hands with every fan and even posed for the awesome pic at the begging of this feature. I then got a few more pics after everyone else left, and then the superstars headed out early. I feel sorry for anyone that showed up late, because I was told they would the event would last for two hours. I supose it would have been nice if there were more superstars, because the poster had nine and there were only four there. Ofcourse, the original poster had superstars from the WWE's other show, so after all the changes, I'm just glad it wasn't cancelled. Anyway. here are some more pics. Later, MyTakers.

Welcome to MyTake
The Take is Live.

I'm online and editing the site often. Look for updates frequently as more and more sections are added. If you follow a link that says "page cannot be displayed" that page is coming soon. I'm having a blast making this site, but It can be better. Soon I hope to post an e-mail address for feedback, and Then I'll build the site around what you guys want. You want a navagation frame constantly displayed to the left of the screen. That's exactly what you'll get. Even if I've got to design around those stupid banner ads that show up in every frame (Why couldn't they just use pop ups?). You want a fancy jpeg background with matching button links. I'll be on it like a bonnet (sorry 'bout that stupid pun). You want a lotta flying monkeys to zoom all over the screen as if they're declaring a hyper violent MONKEY TAKEOVER. WOW! Maybe you should talk to somebody about that. Any way I'll edit the site "pretty much" the way you like it once I set up that feedback line. But uh maybe no flying monkeys.

MyTake on MyTake

Expect this page to have a truckload of sections. A big 18wheeler truck that could just crush a whole buncha trees like "Arrrgh! I be crushing a whole buncha trees!" provided you read that last part like a pirate. I figure this will be the hompage updated often with general info that anyone visiting the site would like to read. But what about the other sections or Takes. Hold on! I'm getting to it. Jeeezalou! Find what you need to know in this fancy shmancy unorderd list.
  • News.   This section will include news about the site that I feel would be better suited to have it's own section. Ya know. Just tryin' to keep the homepage from takin 4ever to load. (by the way 4ever means forever)

  • Guitar.   Okay I love the guitar. I know not everyone plays it but, I'll still wright about it for those of us who do. Besides, maybe I'll even post some lessons.

  • Video Games.   Cheats Codes Strategy Reviews & News

  • Wrestling.   Alright alotta people like it so I'm gonna cover it. Fake of not.

So you check back soon and I'll even add a section for something you like. No not flying monkeys.
